    1. Start with your weakest arm (usually the left).
    2. Curl the dumbbell up as far as possible.
    3. Squeeze the bicep at the top of the exercise.
    4. Slowly lower the weight down without it touching your body.
    5. Repeat for the other arm.
    6. That's one rep. Alternate arms for the desired amount of reps to complete the set.
